Arrests made at New York nursing home after wrongful death

/ / Blog

Medford Multicare Center for Living, Inc., a nursing home community in suburban New York with a history of neglect, is under fire once again after the wrongful death of a resident. Nine Medford employees were arrested in connection to the deaths and attempted cover-ups of vulnerable patients.  In Medford’s most recent instance of neglect, a resident who needed respiratory assistance was ignored for more than two hours despite an alarm that was signaled for immediate aid.  The patient’s pulse oximeter alarm sounded every fifteen seconds for two hours in various locations of the facility, all of which were meant to be monitored by a night nurse. The family of the deceased intends to sue Medford Multicare for malpractice.
